The Glaucoma Associates of New York (GANY) was founded in 1983 to bring increased awareness into the diagnosis and treatment of this common blinding disease.

The New York Glaucoma Research Institute (NYGRI) was created to promote research into the basic causes of Glaucoma, develop new treatments, and develop public education.
