Dr. Robert Ritch founded the Glaucoma Center at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in 1983 to bring increased awareness into the diagnosis and treatment of this common blinding disease. In 1988 Dr. Liebmann joined Dr. Ritch and together they established "Glaucoma Associates of New York (GANY)." Dr. Tello joined the practice in 1999.

Changing the way that people understand glaucoma has lead Drs. Robert Ritch, Jeffrey Liebmann, and Celso Tello, to being internationally acclaimed in this field. Together they continue their unending quest towards the cause of glaucoma, and for better diagnostic and treatment modalities.

Today, Glaucoma Associates of New York (GANY) has two offices located in Manhattan, New York, and with the help of more than 20 highly qualified and dedicated personnel, they continue to lead the way in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma.
